I want to acknowledge his daughter for taking time to post her sentiments about her father. I know that SF Giants fan community would reach out in support if more news they were aware. I hope to get in contact with the Giants public relations, Renel Brooks-Moon, so that she can put her daughter with the SF Giants Alumni Relations Outreach. Hopefully this message can reach others in public and social media.

Before l share a share a humorous story, l want to acknowledge the strength of Frank and Francis bond and their embrace of the cultural identity. I was fortunate to take elective classes in Native American Studies in addition to Managerial Economics at UC Davis. I hope both the brothers legacies are passed down through generations for their passion to overcome all odds from dire beginnings and bolstered by the Boeings engineer, Dick McCollough. Sports is lifeline that all can reach out and grab regardless of age, race or gender. It pulls at our heartstrings but the tears that glisten in our eyes are the salve that soothes our souls.

I grew up as a teenager going to Candlestick Park in the mid 70's so have fond memories of bitter cold nights and extra innings Croix de Candlestick awarded to fans for their endurance till the end.

This morning on KNBR680 AM, it was interesting listen to Duane Kuiper, ex Giants player and current team broadcaster, where he recounted a story of mid 80's Giants relief pitcher Frank Williams having his twin brother dress in his uniform and sit in bullpen while he went out in town. Good old days. I remember him being very effective as a reliever and wondered why he so quickly left the game. He got in a terrible accident. And now upon looking him I see he passed back in '09 and read his story here. So sad. To his neice who posted above, I hope you and your family are doing well. Just thought I'd acknowledge all these years later that Frank Williams had a fan back in NYC who thought he was really good pitcher.peterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11442003411875495255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5686476804358206995.post-40317375267526363062018-04-10T14:39:55.269-07:002018-04-10T14:39:55.269-07:00I grew up with Frank and Francis in Kirkland Washi...I grew up with Frank and Francis in Kirkland Washington. Frank and I went to tolo together in high school. They both were talented athletes. Looked up to by everyone in high school for their athletic abilities and their good looks. Such a tragic story, but I’m sure there was lots of joy, love and just the fact that they actually found out where they came from and got to meet their family Is blessing enough. God rest your soul’s brothers, lovingly Stephanie Smith LecknessStebbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17470817743173647415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5686476804358206995.post-91987072676883310602014-02-17T06:55:34.964-08:002014-02-17T06:55:34.964-08:00I am Francis's only daughter and this article ...I am Francis's only daughter and this article doesn't shed much light on my uncles life. Some of its not true and is missing so many events to the story line. Just because they had a rough upbringing doesn't mean their whole lives together was worthless or not good enough. Everyone makes mistakes and its unfortunate they made alot but it doesn't define who they are. My father was a master at Carving Native Masks and my uncle was obviously great at baseball but he was good at making sure his family was taken care of. I tried helping when things got bad, but in the end it just didn't work. 3 weeks before my father passed away we had planned his move back to the states to be with me and start over, especially since I was 8 months pregnant and he was excited to be a grandfather. I live in pain and suffering from losing him. Then losing my uncle made it worse, cuz he was identical twin of my dad and it gave me some sense of some security that I still had someone. They both will never be forgotten and I plan to share their more in detail life story someday soon. I will love and miss them dearly.
