He is missed, but re-reading this article and the comments from others whose lives he touched makes me smile this morning in his absence. Happy Father's Day to all the memorable dads in our lives. I had the privilege of meeting him on the backstretch last year which resulted in several conversations thereafter about horses, hockey and sports promotion. George was genuine and a true gentleman in the short time I knew him. Godspeed my friend, you are missed, you were remembered this day at Saratoga.Unbridled Racinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14147364403886425170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5686476804358206995.post-80162838901605505622009-03-20T17:47:00.000-07:002009-03-20T17:47:00.000-07:00When I began Junior High I lived in the same neigh...When I began Junior High I lived in the same neighborhood as Mr. Morrison. I would say hi to him and he would always say hi back.
He had a Golden Retriever named Caesar and he would let my brother my sister and myself play with Caesar. We were not invisible.
I had a hard time that year. He told me to keep my head up and be brave. He gave ma an autographed picture of himself and Gary Unger.
When I showed the kids at school they were blown away. I had no more trouble during junior high and high school because a decent young man took the time to care.

What a decent man.Tonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10271930032135430682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5686476804358206995.post-74445605417635924492008-12-05T23:37:00.000-08:002008-12-05T23:37:00.000-08:00Certainly unfortunate that Mr Morrison has passed,...Certainly unfortunate that Mr Morrison has passed, but what a great hockey life!Paul Hugheshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04328227843184332677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5686476804358206995.post-20163254458846229752008-12-04T14:11:00.000-08:002008-12-04T14:11:00.000-08:00What a loss.
